The Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show is smaller that the Miami Beach annual edition. Nonetheless, it still has a lot to offer. The stars of this year event were smart cars and hybrids. As a consequence, this event seems to be the ideal place for South Floridians seeking relief at the gas pump may find a solution in the bevy of fuel efficient. Generally, smart cars get 41 miles per gallon on the highway and 33 in the city and carry base prices from $11,590 to $16,590. One car that make a wave at the event was the new General Motor's 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.
Other big part of the event in South Florida was, of course, the luxury car and prestige car exhibition. Since automakers haven't been immune to the economic downturn and new and luxury car sales have dropped in recent months, organizers were hoping the event stimulated car sales for local dealers and raised money for Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, owner of the event.
If you are planning to come to Miami Florida, you can have access to the most luxurious cars in the world by renting one from a luxury rental car of Miami. This way you can see and ride the car of your dream without waiting the next edition of South Florida auto shows.
