The 2009 Miami Beach Boat Show

At 10am, opening time of the 2009 Miami Beach Boat Show on Sunday, traffic was already backed up and finding parking was a challenge. Inside the 2009 Miami Beach Boat Show (photos) all major boat manufacturers were in attendance, albeit in slightly smaller stands than last year. The Miami city guide describes the usual show as incredible and popular, but the changes in the show this year were not necessarily for the worst.

Sales people were friendlier and proposed better discounts. Buyers definitely had the upper hand. The smaller boat stands attracted the largest amount of people while the larger boat stands seemed to attract more spectators than actual interested buyers. According to the Miami city guide, people from all over the world wait to make their boat-related purchases during this special weekend. The "Concept" boat manufacturer stand exhibited an impressive 44-foot sports boat.

The service was extra impressive as all the friendly salespeople were more eager and attentive to customers. The outrageous 37-foot Boston Whaler prototype was the most impressive part of the 2009 Miami Beach Boat Show. The legendary Boston Whaler brand truly created a breathtaking vessel. Reserve Miami holiday rentals and Florida holiday rentals today for next year’s Boat Show before things fill up.

The 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival

According to the Miami city guide, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival is a major annual event in South Florida. Despite the difficult times, the 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival (photos) was a huge success with huge crowds, heavy traffic and little available parking spots. Next year, we will make sure arrive early to avoid afternoon congestion. Due to the current state of the economy, 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival were required to pay a $7 admission fee.

Apparently, the new fee did not discourage anyone from attending. As mentioned in the Miami city guide, the event’s fine art booths displayed paintings, sculptures, photography and jewels. Coconut Grove chefs gave culinary demonstrations for the 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival visitors.

Food pavilions offered foods from all over the world. Local groups provided musical entertainment for the crowd. Overall, attendees seemed to have a great time during the beautiful weekend of the 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival. Miami even felt an increase in occupancy of Miami vacation rentals and Florida vacation rentals.

Miami International Boat Show, Events in Miami

The Miami International Boat Show and other like events in Miami usually attract boaters from all over the US and all over the world. This year might be a different story for such events in Miami. Locals will probably attend the Miami International Boat Show but there will probably very few buyers.

Boating is a lifestyle for the whole family. Boat manufacturers and related events in Miami have been more impacted than car manufacturers because cars are a necessity while boats are an expensive pastime. MarineMax manufacturers’ 2008 revenues decreased by 50%.

The leitmotiv for this year will be discounts and discounts. Small boats are ideal to avoid the current awful economic suffering at a relatively low cost. People can always rent a boat in Miami during Florida travel for a few days out of the year rather than buying. Boat buyers can buy affordable vessels for less than $20,000 with a low cost-per-gallon and more efficient engines. In August 2008, statistics indicated that sales were down 25% as compared to August 2007. It is a buyer’s market. Those who have cash will get the better deals. Attendees of the 2009 Miami International Boat Show and other large events in Miami can get fantastic lodging discounts for South Beach vacation rentals.
