Miami Summer Shorts Festival, Events in Miami

Miami Summer Shorts Festival is currently in Miami providing two amazing events in Miami and an amusing season. Miami Summer Shorts is running since May 29th till June 22nd, 2008. This is a Miami event you should not miss!

City Theatre is in charge of producing this popular summer event in Miami. In 2008, they receive over 1,200 season script submissions and selected the most thrilling and humorous shorts for you to enjoy.

This Miami event will be showcasing two festivals in one, The Miami Summer Shorts Festival and Shorts 4 Kids. Besides, Miami Summer Shorts Festival 2008, for adults, is going to be featuring two main categories Signature Shorts and Under Shorts.

• Signature Shorts displays s a brand new combination of hilarious comedies and sincere dramas in two alternating programs. Signature Shorts are the first version and most emblematic ones of the festival. Miami Summer Shorts Festival’s shorts typically consist of a one-act play running from 5, to 20 minutes.
• Under Shorts is a completely new late night series of short plays that are provocative, irreverent and very funny. This is the most adult version of the event. Be aware that it is not recommended for kids.
• Short 4 Kids is the children’s version of Miami Summer Shorts Festival. Shorts 4 Kids guarantees lots of good diversion for families, but particularly for the little ones.

Popular venues around Miami will be part of this event, including Miami Carnival Center for the Performing Arts and Broward Center of the Performing Arts.
